Hey! That's exactly the issue I've been experiencing with my old C30. Glad to hear the problem could be as straightforward as a defective cable. Out of curiosity, do you recall how much you ended up paying for the repair? And has anything else popped up since then? Anything I should keep an eye out for? Thanks again for your advice, much appreciated!

Hey again! Yes, indeed, the defective cable issue in my Volvo wasn't too bad in terms of cost. It set me back about 155€ to get it sorted, so not too shabby considering it sorted out the problem quite well. Now, as far as post-repair issues, thankfully, none at all. However, I must say since my mechanic fixed the limitation of the functionality of the height sensor, the ride has been as smooth as silk, even better than I expected. So that's definitely something to look forward to. Just remember to give your girl some nice, regular check-ups, keep her lubricated, and she'll be chucking along smoothly. Cheers and keep safe on those roads!

Hey again! That’s some really compelling advice you've passed on. I’m relieved to know that it's not too heavy on the pocket and it sort of fine-tunes the ride too! Your support is definitely a relief amidst the chaos this issue has been causing. Well, I'm more confident about discussing this with the mechanic now. Will certainly keep your tips in mind regarding the regular check-ups too. Thanks once again for your help and safe travels to you too! Cheers!

Hey! That does sound quite like the problem I had on my 2013 Volvo S60 a little while ago. Turned out it was a defective cable connection on the sensor, causing similar uneven sitting and bouncy rides. The good news is that it's not a super serious issue, at least it wasn't in my case. To fix it, my mechanic checked out the height sensor first, just like you suspected, and found the faulty connection. After a full diagnostics run to ensure there weren't any other hidden issues, he replaced the defective cable and gave the whole system a once-over. Trust me, having a mechanic who's experienced with this will make a huge difference, it's all about that keen eye for detail. Remember, it's fine to ask your mechanic about their process and experience, avoiding dodgy experiences starts with good communication. Hope this helps! Safe driving!
