Hey! Thanks for taking the time to respond. Your experience with the Forte does sound quite similar to what I'm dealing with on my Soul. So, it was a battery issue, huh? That's certainly food for thought. Just curious though, do you happen to remember roughly how much that set you back? And has anything else related to the problem cropped up since you got it fixed? Cheers dude!
Hey there, On the bright side, since the mechanic gave my old motor a once-over to fix the battery issue, my Forte's been in top form. Luckily, the problem with the rear window maintaining its heat was sorted out, too! I was pretty stoked to see that the performance of my car improved substantially and I've had no recurring issues since then. As for the blow to my wallet, I must admit, it wasn't the cheapest adventure. I coughed up about 290 €, but it was all for getting that underperforming vehicle battery back in action. Not the most fun experience, but at the same time, it ain't every day you run into something like this with your ride. Hope this helps you out! Stay cool out there. Cheers!
Hey there, Thanks for getting back with all the details. Your experience indeed sheds some light on my situation. €290 is a bit of a hit, but if it's for a lasting fix, that's something I can consider worthwhile. Over time, a well maintained car definitely pays off better. It's a relief to hear that you've not had any recurring issues. I was worried this could be something persistent. With your positive outcome, I just might muster up the courage to visit the mechanics again. Fingers crossed, it'll be a smooth ride for me too. Thanks again for all your help. Keep cruisin'! Cheers!
Hey! I've got a 2011 Kia Forte and experienced something quite similar a while back. Turned out, the problem was in my car battery, it was weak and unable to deliver enough power to my rear window heating system, amongst other things. I was reluctant to head back to the garage, given a previous not-so-great experience, but eventually had to bite the bullet. To my surprise, this time around wasn't half bad. The guys discovered the battery issue, and even though they had to tinker with the wirings a little, they sorted it out. Didn't seem like a serious issue at all, as things sprung back to normal once the battery got switched out. Hope that helps and sheds some light on what you might be dealing with. Cheers!
