Hey there! Appreciate you sharing your story, it's so reassuring. Spoke to me at so many levels. Jotting your notes down and definitely gonna consider professional help this time around to fix this GPS antenna issue. Out of interest, do you remember approximately what the damage to your wallet was for the whole antenna and rewiring scene? Also, did anything else pop up afterwards related to this shuffle? Cheers!

Hey! Glad to hear my experience was of some help to you. Ah, the wallet hit, that's always the fun part, isn't it? For the GPS antenna problem, I paid a cool 200€ for the whole shebang. Totally worth it though, as I didn't have to worry about finding unusual farm roads anymore! After the fix, the sat-nav was smooth sailing. They had aced it the first time around, no other issues sprung up. And the best part, after resolving the antenna problem, I was back to navigating with ease. Plus, since talking to the mechanic properly, I really felt they looked after my car and the entire repair process was handled professionally. So definitely, go ahead with getting it professionally fixed, it's a wise investment! Hope it solves your worries without a hitch. Best of luck!

Hey! Thanks for throwing in the numbers, puts things into perspective. €200 sounds fair for headache-free navigation, plus no surprises afterwards! You're right, professional help seems to be the best bet. Really need the navigating sorted, been having to rely on old school road maps - A real bummer! And yes, gotta invest in good maintenance. Can't be penny wise, pound foolish, right! I'm off to look up a good mechanic now. Thanks a bunch for your insights. And hey, cheers to experiencing no more unusual farm roads!

Hey! I totally know where you're coming from with the GPS issue. I drive a 2017 Lexus ES and faced a similar issue a while back. The GPS just wouldn't work, so I had a feeling the antenna was out of whack. I, too, have had my share of not-so-great mechanic experiences in the past, understand the wariness. The problem with my GPS antenna was detected during a routine check. It wasn't a massive issue but had to be handled properly. The at the garage ended up having to re-adjust the antenna, and do a bit of rewiring in order for it to correctly sync with the car's system. The main thing to note is that handling the GPS antenna issue is quite technical. It's definitely advisable to let a professional mechanic handle it, preferably one who's familiar with Lexus cars. Hopefully, you'll get it fixed without any problems, just like I did. Good luck!
