Hey there! Appreciate you sharing your experience with that coolant pump issue on your Bravo. Sounds like it was a tricky situation, but I'm glad to hear your local garage got it sorted out. Do you recall roughly how much that set you back? And has anything else popped up since the repair? Just trying to keep an eye out for any potential surprises. Safe driving! Cheers!

Hey, glad my previous experience could help you out! If I recall it correctly, the damage to the pump's control unit cost me about 220 Euro. But believe me, it was worth every penny. Given the fact that if I hadn't fixed it, the engine damage would have burnt a much bigger hole in my pocket. Ever since they repaired it, no other issues have cropped up. The coolant pump has been functioning quite flawlessly. Everything's been pretty smooth sailing, touch wood. So I'd strongly advise you to get it checked by a professional ASAP, to avoid any serious problems. Stay safe on the road, cheers!

Cheers for the details! Hearing about your smooth sailing so far gives me more confidence about getting it sorted. I'll certainly get it checked by a professional right away. Experience seems to worth every penny, as you mentioned. Here's to hoping my Fiat Tipo would also sail smoothly after the repair. Thanks again for your insight, really appreciate it. Safe driving to you too!

Hey, had a similar problem with my 2012 Fiat Bravo. Those symptoms you're describing, it indeed sounds like an issue with the coolant pump. In my case, there was a defective cable on the pump/control unit. It was a bit serious 'cause if left unchecked, it could cause severe engine damage. Had it sorted at my local garage. They had to replace the cable and also did some work on the control unit. Not a DIY job, clearly needed a professional touch. Engine started running smoothly after the fix. Stay safe on the road, eh? Cheers!
