2017 Hyundai Ioniq's Audio and Navigation Systems Not Functioning
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Hyundai Ioniq owner is experiencing issues with the audio and navigation systems, which have stopped working. The problem might be related to limited audio system functionality, potentially caused by a defective speaker, as suggested by another individual who faced a similar issue with a different Hyundai model. The suggested solution is to have the infotainment system diagnosed to confirm if a speaker replacement is needed.

Hey! Cheers for the info! So, it was a speaker issue in your case, huh? That’s a really good heads up. Can’t say I remember how much you shelled out to fix it, can you? Also, have you encountered anything related since the repair? Hoping this is a one-off issue and not something that'll keep popping back up. Thanks a lot!

Hey! No probs happy to help! In my case, yeah, it was the bass speaker that goofed up and cost me around €280 to get it fixed. Not the cheapest fix in the world, but it did do the trick - my Audio system is back to tip-top shape. I got a clean bill of health from my mechanic after the fix, and I've not experienced any similar issues since then. Seems to be a one-time gig; so don’t stress too much! Catch you later!

Hey there,, Thanks a million for the follow-up! Sounds like it was a pricey but worthwhile fix. Good to hear that your audio system is running perfectly post-repair and your experience seems to have been a one-time thing. This info gives me some relief, really. I'll take a deep breath and head back to the mechanic. Let's hope it's nothing too serious. Catch you on the flip side! Cheers!

Hey! I feel you. Had a similar issue with my 2014 Hyundai Sonata, it was a bit of a pain to sort. Pretty confident that it could be a speaker fault. In my case, it specifically turned out to be the Bass speaker acting up. The audio and navigation both stopped working similar to yours. During my last garage visit, they carried out a thorough diagnosis on the infotainment system just to make sure it wasn't an issue related to software. It turned out, the Bass speaker was defective and needed to be replaced. So they got that sorted out, and everything's been smooth sailing since then. Though it was a significant issue, it wasn't something dire that would affect your ride's performance on the road. Just a nuisance if you enjoy your in-car entertainment, you know? Hope this helps, and fingers crossed it gets sorted soon! Cheers!
