2018 Fiat Tipo Gasoline: Solutions for Non-functioning Navigation and Audio System Issues

Audio system is not working

Navigationssystem is not working

Hey all, I'm having a pretty weird issue with my 2018 Fiat Tipo Gasoline. Suddenly, neither the navigation nor the audio system are working. My hunch is this could be due to an audio signal error but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone else had this problem and got it fixed? Really appreciate any advice, especially about your experience with workshop fixes. Cheers!

Hey there! Looks like we've been in similar boats before. I had a similar issue with my 2019 Fiat 500 Abarth. I can't say I'm a car guru, but got some car experience under my belt. The trouble was with the display too – turns out it was all damaged. Took it to my local workshop chaps, they sorted it out real quick. Had to part with around 725€, though. Have you checked your car's display yet? Could you also tell us a bit more about your car's condition? It might help in identifying the glitch. Keep us posted. Cheers!

Hey, appreciate the help! I hadn't thought to check the display, so I'll give it a once-over. As for my car's condition, she's holding up pretty well for her mileage – sitting at 63623 km at last check. Didn't have any issues during her latest service, so this popped up out of nowhere. I'll keep you posted on what I find with the display. Cheers!

Hey! Good to hear your Fiat's still a reliable despite the mileage. My Abarth had a similar mishap right around the 70,000 km mark. Re the display, do look out for any obscured, blurry or entirely missing content - also weird colour changes can be a telltale sign of display issues. Bear in mind, it's not necessary for the display to be physically cracked for it to be faulty. And if your display turns out fine, we might need to dig into other possibilities - like faulty wiring or a dodgy software update hustling around in the system. One more thing do check if any other systems seem out of whack. Sometimes these issues could be due to a bigger underlying electrical problem. Lastly, brace yourself for a potential replacement if required. As I mentioned before, fixing an issue like this isn't always cheap, but it's definitely worth not driving around without navigation or tunes! Do us a favour and keep us in the loop, the rest of us Fiat might learn a thing or two. Stay strong! Cheers!

Hey, thanks for the extensive advice, pal! I've been checking the display, nothing weird so far - no blur, no skewed colours or anything missing. I'll be keeping an eye out for any other wonky systems. Back to the drawing board, I guess. I swear, if it's a wiring issue or one of those dodgy software updates, I'll go mad. If it can't be helped, I'll brace myself for forking out the cash on a replacement, just hoping it doesn't come to that. Well anyway, I'll surely keep you all posted. Thanks for standing by my side, fellow Fiat friends. Let's get this sorted! Cheers!
