2019 Renault Arkana: Navigational and Audio Systems Malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Arkana owner is experiencing issues with both the navigation and audio systems, suspecting an audio signal error as the cause. A similar case with a Renault Kadjar involved internal component failure in the infotainment system, requiring part replacement and rewiring. The suggested solution is to consult a trusted mechanic for diagnosis and repair, as previous experiences indicate that such issues can be resolved effectively.

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience with the Kadjar! It does help clarify things a bit. How much did all that rewiring and replacing parts end up costing you, if you remember? Also, after they fixed it, did you experience any other problems with it or was it smooth sailing from then on? Hoping my Arkana won't spring any more unpleasant surprises. Cheers!

Hey! Totally understand your concerns. My Renault Kadjar's display damage ended up costing me a pretty penny - around 725€., to be exact. Steep, I know, but necessary indeed. After that painful hit to the wallet, I've got to admit it was smooth sailing. Particularly concerning the audio system, the signal issue was as right as rain since the garage visit. So in hindsight, it was all worth it, I'd say. Similar to mine, your Arkana might end up as good as new after something like this. I'd say, take a leap of faith with a mechanic you trust. From my experience, it turns out to be less scary than it seems! All the best!

Ahh, thanks for coming through with all those details! It sounds pretty steep, but seeing as I'd rather not keep driving in silence and guessing my way around town, I think it's gonna have to be a necessary hit to the wallet too. Your reassurance about the outcome makes me feel a bit better about the whole deal. I guess it's about time to go on the hunt for a dependable mechanic and have it sorted. Thanks again for sharing your insights! Cheers!

ARKANA

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from. I had a somewhat similar experience with my 2016 Renault Kadjar. My display started fading, and eventually my entire infotainment system just crapped out on me. Unlike your Arkana, the navigation was entirely unresponsive, but the audio had a mind of its own. Took it down to my local garage, they had a look and turns out the issue was with the infotainment system's internal components, not the audio signal. They had to replace some parts and do some rewiring. It was a bit of a headache, but it wasn't as serious as it initially seemed. Was it annoying? Hell yes, but it was manageable. Had my car back up and running within a few days. Your issue might be similar. I’d say take it to a garage you trust and see what they say. Cheers!
