Alarm system malfunctions

Hey, Thanks for sharing your experience - it does sound remarkably similar to what's going on with my Arkana. On a side note, man’s got to stop ignoring those battery warnings! Can you recall roughly what you paid for the entire ordeal; diagnostics, battery replacement and all? Besides, everything smooth sailing since then or did something else pop up afterwards? Curious, my Renault might be in for the long haul, it seems! Much appreciated!
Hey, Good call on not ignoring those battery warnings. They can be a real lifesaver! Talking about the cost of my experience, the whole shebang set me back around 330 €. This included the diagnostic tests done by the mechanic, and the cost of the new battery itself plus the replacement labor. Since then, I haven't had any issues at all. The extra battery in the anti-theft alarm system acted up again, but when I went back to the mechanic, they found out it was faulty and fixed it. Besides that, it's been smooth sailing for me. Hope this helps you out with your Renault Arkana. Just remember, don't sweat the small stuff! Cheers!
Hey, You're a lifesaver, really appreciate it! €330 and some peace of mind sounds like a good deal to me. I'll make sure the mechanic check the battery in the alarm system as well. Good to hear you haven't hit any major bumps after the fix. Thanks again for sharing your experience, fingers crossed I have the same luck. Gonna give my Renault's battery the attention it's been screaming for! Cheers!
Hey there, I can definitely relate to your situation. I drive a 2017 Renault Kadjar and had a similar issue a while back - about 40,000 km on the clock. It turned out my battery was just plain old. Batteries can often discharge due to aging and it sure sounds like that's what's happening with your Arkana. The problem wasn't all that serious, but sorting it was a bit of a job. My mechanic had to run some diagnostic tests first, just to be sure it was indeed the battery. Once they confirmed it, they fixed the issue by replacing the battery. After that, my car was back in shape, no alarm issues or anything. I'd recommend getting the battery checked out as soon as possible, just to rule it out. If it turns out to be the culprit, your mechanic can easily fix this with a new battery. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a ‘huge’ issue, but it's definitely worth addressing. Cheers.
