2020 Renault Arkana Navigation and Audio Systems Failure: Potential Connection to Faulty Interior Light

Navigationssystem is not working

Audio system is not working

Hey everyone! I've got a bit of a head-scratcher with my 2020 Renault Arkana, Gasoline engine, clocked in at 11,957 km. All of a sudden my navigation and audio systems took a vacation. My hunch? This could be linked to a faulty interior light. Had some nightmare run-ins at the mechanic's last time, so thought I'd touch base here first. Have any of you faced similar issues or had any luck with your mechanic? Cheers!

Hey, Had a pretty similar issue last year with my 2017 Renault Captur. Yep, the interior light was behaving in a finicky way, just like yours, and it started messing with my navigation and audio systems. It wasn't exactly fun, but turned out not to be some major issue. Took it to my local garage where they had to replace the entire interior light unit. Apparently, some wiring issue was causing the light to interfere with the audio and navigation systems. You wouldn't think a light would do that, right? Bottom line, I'd recommend going to a good garage to get everything checked and fixed. Don't sweat it too much, it's not the end of the world. Good luck! Cheers!

Hey there! Sounds like Deja vu! I had similar vibes with my Renault a few months back. Never would've suspected it was the interior light though, that's pretty crazy. That brings me to ask, I'm curious, do you remember how much you had to cough up for that fix? And has anything popped up since then related to this? Hoping it's not a recurring phantom problem! Thanks in advance. Take care!

Hey! It's wild how the interior light can stir up so much drama, right? After I visited the mechanic, the interior light defective was resolved. The fix set me back 85€, a bit of a pinch, but worth it, I'd say. Here's the kicker, since then, no more strange happenings. My Renault has been serving me well, no ghost in the machine kinda scenarios so far (fingers crossed!). So it appears to be a one-time fix based on my experience. Keep me posted on what you decide. Good luck with your Arkana! Cheers!

Hey there! Wow, that's good to hear. I was really stressing out over this, thanks for the peace of mind. My Renault Arkana is still under warranty, so fingers crossed I won't have to pay anything. I'll take it to the Renault service centre first thing tomorrow. Your experience with your Renault gives me a ray of hope. Here's hoping my issue is just a one-off too! Will keep you updated. Thanks again and Cheers!
