Hey there, I really appreciate your thorough response. It's looking more and more likely that I'm dealing with a similar situation regarding the injectors. Your explanation shines a light on this and it's rather reassuring. Based on your experience, I'll plan to get my Tarraco in as soon as possible for a diagnostic test. If you don't mind I have a couple more questions. Do you remember what the damage was on your wallet for replacing the injector? And since you had it fixed, has any other issue related to this popped up? Thanks again!

Hey, glad to know my experience could shed some light for you! So, to answer your questions, getting that dodgy injector replaced cost me a decent chunk of change, around 515€, to be exact. But honestly, seeing the improvement in my car's performance, I'd say it was worth every cent! And to answer your other question, since getting the injector sorted out at the mechanic, the engine has been running like a dream! The injector issues haven't popped up again. The stalling, the excessive fuel consumption, and that vile black exhaust smoke have all disappeared. The functional limitation I was experiencing due to that faulty injector seems to have been completely taken care of. Of course, you gotta keep in mind that each car and situation is unique, but getting your car checked out ASAP sounds like a wise move to me. Fingers crossed your Tarraco is back to its old self in no time! Cheers!

You've been a great help! Your detailed insight really helps me understand what my vehicle could be going through. The cost sounds considerable, but as you've said, if it gets my Tarraco running smoothly again, it'll be worth it. I was, to be honest, quite apprehensive about getting it checked out due to that previous bad experience with a mechanic. But your positive experience gives me confidence. It's fantastic to hear that your car has been running fine after the injector issues were sorted. Thankfully, I managed to arrange an appointment for a diagnostic test this coming week. Free-flowing traffic and clear skies, here I come! Can't wait for the return of my car's glory days and the end to this troublesome episode, fingers crossed. Thanks again for the advice! Cheers!

Hey, just happen to read your post and it sounds a lot like what I experienced last year with my 2017 Seat Leon, Diesel model. It also started missing a beat on acceleration, a bit of rough idling, occasional stalling and black smoke from the exhaust. The signs were really similar to yours, so it could be an injector issue indeed. Turns out, in my case, one of the injectors had gone bad. A good injector should spray fuel evenly in a fine mist, but a defective injector either sprays too much, not enough, or not at all. Excessive or incorrect sprays can lead to rough engine performance and all those symptoms that you're experiencing. I took mine to the garage and the mechanic ran a diagnostic scan to understand the problem. Instead of going for just cleaning the injector, my mechanic recommended replacing the defective one. Apparently, sometimes, an injector can become so clogged or damaged that it can't be repaired with just cleaning. Post replacement, my car was back on the road running smoothly, with the engine performance significantly improved and the fuel consumption returned to normal. Of course, every car's condition may differ but given your symptoms, it does look like a potential injector issue. It's best to get your car in and have a mechanic perform a diagnostic test to untie the intricacies of the problem. Hope your ride gets better soon!
