Hey, thank you so much for sharing your experience with your Hyundai Kona, I appreciate it. That definitely helps me understand why I've been having these issues with my Hyundai Venue. I'm curious though, do you remember how much you shelled out for the fix? And did you experience any other related problems since you've got it repaired? It's always good to have the lay of the land when you're about to embark on this kind of car-fix journey! Thanks much, dude!
Hey, no problem, glad to be of help! So about the cost - fixing up the defective sensor wheel on the camshafts set me back about 695.00 €. It wasn't my idea of cheap, but reckon it was worth it for the peace of mind. As for you second question - nope, no more issues with the same thing after the mechanic did his thing. The camshaft sensor malfunction has been smoothed out and the car's been running smooth as well. I'd say getting that sensor wheel sorted did the trick. Hope that eases your nerves a bit! Anyway, best of luck to ya with your fix!
You just eased my nerves significantly! I was bracing myself for a horror story of constant repairs and neverending troubles, so to hear you've had a positive experience post-fix is a great relief. It's not pocket change, 695.00 €, but it's worth it if it sorts out the issues. I really appreciate the swift and detailed response. I'll get my Hyundai in for a check-up and repair soon. Thanks again for sharing the info. It's a big help! Best wishes!
Hey there, totally get where you're coming from. I had a somewhat similar problem with my 2019 Hyundai Kona a while back, so I reckon you're on the right path suspecting your camshaft sensor. In my case, the check engine light came on and I experienced similar power loss and shaky engine issues. When I went to the garage, the mechanic diagnosed it as a defective sensor wheel on the camshaft. Evidently, these sensors play a crucial role when it comes to the ignition and fuel injection timings, so it's no surprise they can throw an engine off-balance when they're out of whack. A tip here; get it fixed sooner rather than later. In my experience, a defective camshaft sensor isn't something you want to neglect, primarily because it controls some serious stuff under the hood. While it's not a death sentence for your car, it's a pretty critical part, and leaving it unchecked can cause bigger problems. Hope this helps you out! Good luck with it.
