Hey there! Reading your responses, I swear it's like déjà vu. Had the exact same issue with my 2021 CT200h. Turned out to be a funky cable as well, much like what our here said. And you're spot on, it sure does sound grave when they mention inspecting the whole wiring system, but really, it's pretty routine for them. Seems like Lexus could be facing a cable durability concern with our models. Anyhow, I was curious. Do you happen to remember how much damage the repair did to your pocket? And here is a significant one: has anything similar popped up after the repair or did the fix nip it in the for good? Cheers!
Hey there! Yeah, I absolutely remember the dent the repair put in my wallet. It was 170€, mostly for sorting out that defective cable connection. Stingy, I know, but at least it got my car back to its prime. And as for your question, since that visit to the mechanic, the parking aid's been behaving itself pretty well. The glitch with it seems to have been sorted and nothing similar has popped up again so far, to my relief. For now, it seems the fix indeed nipped the issue in the. Hope that helps!
Well, you both seriously put my mind at ease. That information is just what I needed. It really does seem like a recurring issue with our models, doesn't it? Quite a bummer for Lexus. Anyways, I'm glad to hear you could get it sorted without any subsequent hitches. And the damage to the wallet, although on the higher end, seems fairly manageable. And well worth the cost if it means the end of these annoying malfunctions. Thanks for your insights, guys, truly appreciable! I'll take your experiences into account when I chat with my mechanic. Here's hoping the solution sticks. Cheers!
Hey! I completely get you. I have a 2019 Lexus NX300h and had almost the same headache a few months back. First thought it was just a common glitch, but it turned out to be a defective cable connection. My ECU was also showing a stored fault code, eerily similar to what you're describing. The mechanic mentioned something about the parking aid's functionality fault, just like you're suspecting. I ain't no gearhead but from what I understood, there was an issue with the cable connecting the rear parking sensor with the ECU. I got the cable connection fixed at the garage, and they had to inspect the entire wiring system to ensure no other parts were affected. Sounded serious? Yeah, quite a bit. But they assured me it's not uncommon in cars as they age and the mess was finally sorted. So I reckon it could very well be a similar issue with your car. No need to panic though, just tailor the talk with your mechanic along these lines and you should be good. Cheers and good luck!
