2022 Seat Tarraco Air Conditioning Issues: Possible Faulty Control Valve?

Hey there! I had a similar problem with my 2019 Seat Leon not too long ago. The AC was giving trouble, inconsistent cooling and all, and it turned out to be a leakage in the AC system. The coolant had been slowly draining out which was disrupting the entire function. The mechanic had to go through the full AC system to find the leak, it was like finding a needle in a haystack. But once he found it, he simply sealed it up, refilled the coolant, and it was good to go. It wasn't too serious, just a bit complicated to find. So I reckon it could be a similar issue with your Tarraco, and not necessarily the control valve. You may want to discuss this insight with your mechanic. Hope this helps out. Good luck!

Hey! Glad to see you found my tips helpful. Regarding the cost, it did pinch a bit. The whole fix, including the leak detection, sealing, and coolant refill, ended up at 495€. Not cheap for sure, but it was well worth it - far better to spend it upfront than have it snowball into a bigger issue. Since then, the old girl's been running smooth. No more sweaty drives in the summer, thankfully! And to directly address your question, the air conditioning control valve was indeed the ragged soldier, but since it's been shown some TLC by my mechanic, there've been no problems at all.
