2023 Renault Arkana Hybrid Tailgate Issue and Warning Light Problem: Seeking Advice on Hall Sensor Issues and Workshop Experiences

Tailgate does not open automatically

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a snag with my 2023 Renault Arkana Hybrid. The tailgate refuses to open automatically and there's this pesky warning light showing up on my speedometer. I'm guessing it might be an issue with the Hall sensor on the tailgate. Has anyone had the same problem? How did you get it fixed and what was your experience with the workshop? Thanks in advance!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my 2021 Renault Captur. To level with you, my knowledge of cars is on the low side. Nevertheless, I did indeed face the "Cable Defective" problem; turned out to be the wiring harness causing havoc, the same might be the issue in your case. Took it to the local mechanic, dude's a genius, sorted it all out for €95. It's been smooth sailing since. Could you share your mileage and if any other electrical system is malfunctioning? That'd help pin the bug down more precisely. Safe driving!

Hey, thanks for getting back to me so quickly! That cable defective issue sounds a lot like what I'm experiencing here. My mileage is at 16653 km, and besides the auto tailgate, there are no other electrical problems I've noticed. I guess I'll take your advice and go have the wiring harness checked at the local workshop. Cheers for the tip, appreciate it! Safe cruising to you too!

Hey, no problem at all, glad I could help! Given your mileage and only one electrical issue, it does sound like it could be the wiring harness for the tailgate. When you bring it into the shop, also ask them to check the tailgate control module - sometimes, these two issues go hand-in-hand. Hope they can fix it without costing you too much! Remember, if the mechanic says it's something extremely costly, don't hesitate to get a second opinion. Sometimes it's just a small thing they've overlooked. Drive safe, and let us know how it goes!

Yeah, you've been a huge help! I'll definitely ask the folks at the workshop to take a look at that tailgate control module as well. And thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to grab a second opinion before shelling out too much cash. Fingers crossed it all works out. I'll keep ya updated on what goes down. Till then, happy zipping around in your Captur!

Let our mechanics help you!
