Thanks for the tip! When you say 'faulty connection', do you mean a loose wire, or something more complex? Did you get any specific error codes? The throttle body seems like a good place to start looking.

Yeah, I think it was just a corroded connector. A corroded connector is an electrical connector where corrosion has formed on the metal surfaces. This corrosion increases the electrical resistance of the connection, potentially causing malfunctions or failures. I couldn't fix it myself, so I brought it to a shop. They cleaned the connector and applied some dielectric grease, and the cruise control worked again, so I'd say you take it to a workshop.

Ok, thanks so much for your help! I took it to a local shop and they found a damaged wire. They replaced it and it is now working again. Repair cost was 95€. I really appreciate the help!

Hey! I also drive a Peugeot 206, though mine is a bit older. I had a similar cruise control problem a while back. It turned out to be a faulty connection to the throttle body. Have you checked the cables and plugs around there? It might be worth a look before you start suspecting the actuator or steering wheel controls.
