350Z AC and Temperature Sensor Issue

I'm experiencing a peculiar issue with my 2005 Nissan 350Z, gasoline engine. The temperature sensor for the heat exchanger seems to be defective. I'm getting errors and a warning light. Strangely, the air conditioning system refuses to engage. Could this be related?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 350Z. Check your HVAC system, especially around the heat exchanger. Is your coolant level okay? A leak could trigger those symptoms.

Thanks! I will check the coolant level. If the coolant level is fine, what else could it be?

If the coolant's good, it could be the AC control unit itself, I've heard they can be finicky. I ended up taking mine to a shop, they said it was the air conditioning control unit and sensor issues. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I had it checked and, as you suspected, the garage confirmed the defective control unit. The final bill was 980€ Thanks for the tip!
