350Z Engine Power Loss

Hey, I'm having a serious issue with my 2007 Nissan 350Z (gasoline engine). I've noticed a significant reduction in engine power, and the check engine light is constantly on. I've checked the air flow and air intake, but I am not sure what the problem is, possibly the throttle sensor? The car has about 120455 km on it. Could a defective accelerator pedal module or some faulty electronics cause this? Any ideas before I take it to a mechanic?

I had a similar problem with my 350Z. Do you have issues with engine idling?

Yes, sometimes the engine idling is unstable. The check engine light comes on, engine power is reduced and sometimes the engine does not start. Is this what you experienced?

That's exactly what happened to me. It was the throttle valve. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to have it checked.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective throttle valve as you suggested. The repair cost me 265€. Everything is running smoothly now!
