370Z Auxiliary Heater Problem

My 2017 Nissan 370Z with a gasoline engine is having auxiliary heater issues. The parking heater refuses to activate, and the error memory has stored a fault. Mileage is 38613 km. Suspect a defective glow plug.

I had similar issues with my 370Z's climate control back in the day. Are you sure it's the glow plug? In my experience, these issues are often related to faulty temp sensors

Interesting, thanks for the tip! Which temperature sensor are you referring to? The diagnostic pointed pretty clearly to the heater circuit

Ah, you've already had diagnostics run - that's great. Well, in my case, the symptoms were similar. Despite what I thought, and the dash reading I was getting, the actual cause was the heater itself. Still, if you are sure the error is pointing to the plug, it's probably best to have it looked at professionally to be sure. No point replacing the sensor when you're getting specific codes! Cost me about 440€ all in, though...

Understood. Thanks for sharing your experience. Glow plug replacement sorted the issue on mine. 440€ was the damage. Confirmed by a workshop, so it's all good
