Thanks for the tip. I don't have a multimeter right now. If the voltage is indeed the problem, what would be the next step? Is it something I can fix myself, or is it better to take it to a workshop?

Based on my experience, if it's a voltage issue at the plug, there could be corrosion or a broken wire within the harness. While you could attempt a repair by cleaning the contacts or splicing the wire, I'd recommend having a workshop diagnose it properly. They have the tools to pinpoint the exact location of the fault and ensure a reliable repair. Better safe than sorry, especially with electrical issues.

Okay, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right. It was a defective cable connection at the water valve. They replaced the connector, and the heating is working perfectly now. The repair cost me 95€ Thanks again for your help!

I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 series. The symptoms were identical: weak heating and a water valve error. It turned out to be a faulty connection despite looking fine. Have you checked the voltage at the plug? A multimeter might reveal an intermittent issue.
