Besides the brake lines, are there other potential areas to investigate within the braking system that could lead to fluid loss and the described pedal feedback?

Absolutely. Could be a failing master cylinder or even a leak in one of your calipers. Is the brake warning light on? At your mileage with those symptoms, it's probably time to get it checked by a workshop. Better safe than sorry with car brakes, right?

I had the vehicle inspected. The worn brakes were indeed the primary issue, and the total repair cost was 480€. Thanks for the guidance.

Low brake fluid and weird pedal feel? Sounds like your hydraulic brakes might have an issue. Have you checked your brake lines for any leaks? When was the last time you had your brakes inspected? Could be more than just worn pads.
