370Z Power Window Failure
Summary of the thread
The power windows on a 2009 Nissan 370Z stopped working after a battery replacement, with an error stored. This issue may be related to the need for window regulator initialization, a common problem after battery disconnection. A suggested solution involves a specific reset procedure using the window controls, but ultimately, professional assistance at a workshop may be required to resolve the issue effectively.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the quick reply! I've tried holding the buttons up and down, but nothing seems to work. Could you elaborate on the specific reset procedure you used on your BMW? Maybe that will give me a clue.

Sure thing. On the BMW, there was a specific sequence: ignition on, hold the window button down until it stops, keep holding for 10 seconds, then pull the button up until it stops and hold for another 10 seconds. Do that a couple of times. But, honestly, after a few tries, I gave up and took it to a workshop. They had some tool to reset the regulator. I suspect you'll have to do the same.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll book it in at a workshop - got a quote for 290€ which seems reasonable. The problem was indeed the window regulator initialization. They fixed it quickly!

Hey, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old BMW after disconnecting the battery. The windows wouldn't work, and it turned out the regulator needed to be initialized. Did you try any kind of window reset procedure? Maybe something involving holding the window controls in specific positions?
