370Z Speedometer Error and Oil Pressure Light

My 2016 Nissan 370Z gasoline engine with 236959 km is showing a speedometer error message, a logged fault, and the speedometer warning light. The oil pressure lamp also lights up intermittently. I suspect a defective oil level sensor cable or plug. Has anyone else encountered this?

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my 370Z, though I can’t remember the exact mileage. Was driving me nuts. Did you check the simple stuff first – like the connector itself? They’re pretty exposed down there and can corrode or get gunked up.

Thanks for the quick response! I visually inspected the connector, and it seemed okay, but I didn't perform any detailed tests, like checking the voltage or resistance. Did your symptoms match mine exactly?

Yep, pretty much the same deal – that annoying warning light and the error message. I tried fiddling with it myself, but honestly, I'm no expert. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly. Much less of a headache than messing with it myself.

Thank you for confirming! Knowing someone else experienced the same issue is reassuring. Given the potential complexity, I'll schedule an appointment with a trusted workshop. I had a diagnosis done and as suspected, the cable or plug connection of the component was defective. The total cost came in at 95€. Thanks again!
