Yeah, it's most noticeable at highway speeds when it feels like it's trying to lock up. So, the lock-up clutch inside the converter, huh? Was it a total converter failure for you too? What was the damage?

Yep, pretty much the same deal. Lock-up clutch went kaput. I'd suggest getting it checked at a shop. A new converter or a transmission rebuild is likely in your future.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks for confirming my suspicions! Dropped it off at the shop, and they're quoting 2120€ for a new converter and install. Ouch, but at least I know what it is. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my 370Z. Is it happening across all gears, or mostly when the transmission is trying to lock up the converter at highway speeds? Could be your converter failing.
