4007 mirror heating issue
Summary of the thread
The 2009 diesel 4007 has a mirror heating issue, with diagnostics indicating an error. Possible causes include a faulty cable, plug, or fuse, as both mirrors might share a single fuse. Suggested solutions involve checking the fuses and using a multimeter to test for power at the mirror connector. Ultimately, taking the vehicle to a workshop is recommended for a quick resolution.

Are you suggesting a single fuse for both mirrors? Do you recall which fuse? Where is the mirror connector for multimeter testing?

Yeah, on mine both mirrors ran off the same fuse. Can't remember the exact number, but the manual should have it. As for the connector, you'll need to carefully pry the mirror glass out. You'll find the connector plugged into the back of the heating element. Honestly, though, it sounds like you've already got a fault code. Might be worth just taking it to a workshop. I ended up doing that and they sorted it quick.

Based on your experience and the error code, I'm taking it to a workshop. Repair cost was 95€.

I had a similar issue with my 4007. Both mirrors stopped heating at the same time, right? Did you check the fuses? I've seen a dodgy fuse cause all sorts of electrical gremlins. Also, do you have a multimeter? Could be worth checking for power at the mirror connector itself.
