4Runner audio system failure

Hey, I have a 2002 Toyota 4Runner with a gasoline engine. The audio system has completely stopped working. No sound at all. I checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 series. Have you checked the bass speaker? Mine had a defective bass speaker that was causing the issue. Does the radio display even turn on?

The radio display turns on, yes. I can change the channels, and everything seems normal, just no sound. How did you figure out it was the bass speaker?

I had to take it to a mechanic. They diagnosed it pretty quickly. I'd suggest doing the same. Might save you a lot of time and hassle. Could be a broken wire or something else.

Thanks! I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was the bass speaker. Cost me 280€ to fix. Appreciate the help!
