Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, those symptoms sound familiar. I haven't checked for error codes yet. How can I tell if the engine is running lean?

Well, I'm no expert, but usually a lean condition will throw a code and the emissions light will be on. But the hesitation and rough running are classic signs. Honestly, with those symptoms, especially the stalling, I'd get it checked out by a workshop before it causes more damage. It could also be something else entirely, like fuel pump or even a vacuum leak. Don't want to risk it.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed the injection nozzle was defective, probably from being dirty. Repair cost was 515€. Appreciate the help figuring it out.

Hey, I had similar symptoms with my 4Runner, but mine is gasoline. Misfire, emissions light on, rough idle… Sound familiar? Have you checked for any error codes? If it's a dirty injector, that could cause all sorts of problems. Is it running lean by any chance?
