4Runner Fuel Pump Issues

I only visually checked the wiring. I didn't test the voltage. The error code said something about low fuel pressure. Did you end up replacing the pump itself?

Yep, that sounds familiar. Before replacing anything, double-check the voltage at the pump connector when the engine is trying to start. If you're not comfortable doing that, honestly, I'd take it to a decent shop. Could be a faulty pump, or something else in the fuel system causing the low pressure. I got lucky, the garage found a loose connection, not the pump itself.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to the shop, and you were right – turned out to be a corroded connector to the fuel pump. They cleaned it up and all is good, cost me 95€ Appreciate the help!

I had almost the exact same thing happen on my 4Runner. Same symptoms, check engine light. Did you actually test the pump's voltage or just visually inspect the connections? Sometimes corrosion can be hidden, or a wire might be frayed internally. Also, what was the exact error code you pulled?
