4Runner MOST Bus Fault

Having a major headache with my 2015 Toyota 4Runner (gas engine). Almost 100k km on it. The audio system is completely dead – no sound at all and the navigation isn't working. Scanner's throwing a MOST bus fault error. Has anyone dealt with anything similar?

Sounds familiar. I've got a 4Runner too, and I had a similar issue a while back. No audio, nav system kaput... MOST bus fault rings a bell. Was there anything specific that triggered it, or did it just happen out of the blue?

Thanks for the reply! Nothing specific that I can think of. One day it was working fine, the next... silence. Any idea what part of the MOST bus was causing your problem? I'm trying to avoid just throwing parts at it.

Unfortunately, I didn't dive too deep myself. From what I remember, the error suggested a defect in one of the control units connected to the MOST bus. Honestly, I ended up taking it to a shop. They diagnosed it pretty quickly with their fancy equipment and saved me a lot of time and frustration. Cost me about 1000€ to fix.

Okay, that's helpful. Sounds like I'm probably in over my head. I'll take it to a reputable shop and let them sort it out. Thanks for sharing your experience – at least I have some idea of what to expect!
