4Runner Outside Temp Sensor Issue

Hey, got a weird one with my 2006 Toyota 4Runner (gas engine). The outside temp sensor seems borked. I'm getting an error code, the AC won't kick on, and even the mirror heaters are dead. Could frozen spray nozzles be tied to this? I'm guessing a bad connection somewhere?

I had something similar on my 4Runner. Check the sensor calibration first, might be an easy fix. Is the temp reading way off or just not reading at all?

How do I check the sensor calibration? And yeah, it's just showing '--' on the display most of the time.

If it's showing dashes, calibration won't help. Sounds like a faulty sensor or wiring. I'd suggest a workshop visit. They'll run diagnostics and pinpoint the issue, probably just a dodgy plug or cable.

Cheers. Taking it to the shop. They quoted around 95€, so hopefully, it's just a quick fix as you said.
