Thanks for sharing your experience. Your situation sounds identical to what I had with my A8 last fall. The uneven ride height and failing suspension system gave me a real headache. My trusted mechanic also confirmed it was a bellows valve issue after running diagnostics. Would you mind sharing what you paid for the complete repair? I went through this already but curious how costs compare these days. Also wondering if youve had any other air spring problems since the fix? The suspension still feels a bit off on my car even after the repair, and Im debating whether to have it checked again.

Had the repair done last week actually, total cost was 590 Euro for the complete bellows valve replacement and system calibration. The suspension issue was fully resolved and the car now maintains perfect ride height. The air suspension system is working flawlessly since the fix. After experiencing the failing suspension symptoms firsthand, I can confirm the rough ride and uneven stance were completely eliminated once the faulty bellows valve was replaced. Havent noticed any air leaks or suspension problems since the repair. Based on your comment about continued suspension issues, it might be worth having the entire system checked again. Sometimes multiple components in the air suspension can wear simultaneously. A proper diagnosis could reveal if theres another failing valve or air leak causing the ongoing problems. Would definitely recommend getting it looked at rather than risking further suspension failure. These systems need to be working perfectly for both comfort and safety. The diagnostic equipment can usually pinpoint exactly where any remaining issues might be.

Thanks for the advice. I finally got my car checked yesterday. The mechanic was really thorough, spent nearly an hour just running diagnostics on the pneumatic suspension system. Turned out I had both a failing bellows valve and a small air leak in one of the lines. Total repair came to 780 Euro including parts and labor. More than I hoped but worth it to fix it properly. They had to keep the car overnight to complete all the work and test the system. The difference in ride quality is night and day. No more warning lights, and the suspension maintains perfect ride height now. Most importantly, that rough ride is completely gone. Really glad I got it sorted before it caused more problems. Just wanted to update since the advice here helped me know what to expect. If anyone else runs into similar suspension issues, definitely get it checked right away. These air suspension problems only get worse if you wait.

Last month I had nearly identical symptoms with my 2014 A6 3.0 TDI. The suspension failure started with uneven ride height and warning messages. Initially thought it was a simple air leak, but diagnostic testing revealed a faulty bellows valve on the rear right air suspension. The air suspension system requires specialized equipment for proper diagnosis. A complete system check showed the valve was not maintaining proper pressure, causing the suspension to drop. This is actually a serious issue since failing air suspension components can lead to unsafe handling and potential damage to other suspension parts. Had the entire pneumatic suspension assembly inspected since these systems often have multiple wear points. The bellows valve replacement required removing several components to access the failed unit. The repair also included testing all air lines and checking the compressor function to ensure no other leaks existed. The fix is not a quick job, took about 6 hours total for diagnosis, parts replacement, and system recalibration. But it completely resolved the rough ride and leveling issues. Would recommend having this addressed promptly to prevent additional suspension damage. For reference, the symptoms you describe match exactly what happens with a failing bellows valve. Best to have it properly diagnosed at a shop experienced with air suspension systems.
