ABS Fault Lateral Acceleration Sensor

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2022 Lexus NX gasoline model. It has 158422 km on the clock. The ABS lamp illuminates, and the ABS system fails. Error memory indicates a lateral acceleration sensor fault. The affected control unit is likely defective. Has anyone encountered this?

I have a similar NX. Those symptoms sound familiar. Was the steering angle also affected? It could be related to vehicle stability or yaw rate, and a faulty lateral sensor is the prime suspect.

Steering angle is affected, yes. If it's the same issue, what was the resolution? Was it definitely the lateral sensor? I'm trying to understand the scale of the problem before I take it to the workshop.

Affirmative. The symptoms you described are consistent with a defective lateral acceleration sensor. Given the complexity and potential safety implications for vehicle stability, I would strongly recommend a qualified workshop assesses the control unit. Best not to attempt DIY repairs.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I appreciate the advice. Took it to the workshop and you were spot on. The lateral acceleration sensor needed replacing. Final bill came to around 1000€.
