Thanks for the quick reply! You mentioned the yaw rate sensor and electronic control unit. Where is that located, and is there any way to test it before I potentially start replacing parts? Also, regarding the steering angle sensor, is that something a regular OBD2 scanner can usually read?

Yeah, it's almost certainly the control unit itself – a known flaw apparently. Sadly, I couldn't troubleshoot it myself. Bite the bullet and take it to a reputable workshop for diagnostics; better than chasing your tail. If the control unit is faulty, you're looking at around 1000€ including labour. They will check the wheel alignment too.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. The control unit was indeed defective. Replaced it, and the ABS is working perfectly again. Cost me right around 1000€ as you predicted. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Taurus. ABS light and everything. The problem might be in the electronic control unit related to your yaw rate sensor. Has the steering angle sensor been checked? This might trigger the ESP, and subsequently the ABS.
