Yes, of course I still remember! Replacing the ABS control unit cost me a whopping €1000. That's not a lot of money, but the problem has been solved ever since. And to your second question: No, there were no further similar problems after that. After the mechanic fixed the speed signal, my car runs like clockwork again. I hope this helps and keep my fingers crossed for you, colleague!

Wow, that's not a small amount indeed, but if it solves the problem then I guess it's worth it. Very pleased to hear that no further complications have arisen since then. That reassures me a little. I think I will now make an appointment with my mechanic and get this checked out. Thanks again for the helpful info and words of encouragement, colleague! I really appreciate it.

Hello, why do I always go along with this? I drive a 2009 Mercedes E-Class diesel, and I had a similar problem to yours. In my case, it was the ABS control unit that was defective. It wasn't a simple defect, the control unit had to be completely replaced. In my case, it was because its internal components were damaged and it was constantly sending out the wrong signals. This also meant that the lights were constantly on and the speedometer and DSC system had similar error messages. After replacing the ABS control unit, everything was fine again. But yes, this is a serious problem as it can affect braking performance. Hope that helps you. Good luck, buddy!
