Accent Blower Motor Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Hyundai Accent diesel's fresh air blower stopped working, with the motor not running at any speed and an error code present. The initial suspicion was a faulty blower motor. A suggestion was made to check the blower motor resistor, as it controls fan speed and its failure can cause the fan to stop. Ultimately, the issue was confirmed to be a defective blower motor, which was replaced at a workshop.

Thanks! Where's the blower motor resistor located, and how do I test it? I have a multimeter.

It's usually near the blower motor itself, under the dash on the passenger side. But honestly, based on what you've said, I'd just take it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and replace the motor if needed.

Took it to a shop, and you were right, the blower motor was defective. Cost 365€ for the replacement and labor. Thanks again!

I had something similar on my Accent. It could be the blower motor resistor. That controls the fan speed. If that goes, the fan often stops completely. Have you checked that?
