Accent diesel reset quantity drift compensation error

My 2011 Hyundai Accent diesel is throwing codes, 123858 km on the clock. The error memory mentions 'reset quantity drift compensation'. The engine is running rough, and the check engine light is on. Seems like an injection valve or injector might be defective. Anyone ever dealt with this? Is there a reset procedure or is it strictly an onboard diagnostics thing? Any ideas to improve fuel economy? The car sensors seem okay, but maybe a compensation adjustment is needed?

I own an Accent too. I had similar symptoms a while ago: rough running and the check engine light kept appearing. In my case, it also mentioned 'reset quantity drift compensation'. It's like your car is trying to fine-tune something but can't quite get there. Did you notice any changes in performance before this started?

Interesting, so you saw the same error. No noticeable change in performance beforehand, it just started happening. What did you end up doing to fix it? Did you try to reset it yourself, or did you take it somewhere?

I considered attempting a reset myself, but frankly, the engine's fuel injection system is like a complicated watch, and I didn't want to risk making things worse. So, I went to a workshop. They confirmed it was indeed a defective injector, replaced it, and then performed the reset. Cost me about 515€. It's running smoothly now.

Appreciate the info. Sounds like I'm headed to the workshop. Thanks for confirming that the error message pointed you to a similar fix.
