Accent oil level sensor error
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Hyundai Accent diesel is experiencing an 'oil level sensor signal faulty' error, causing the speedometer to flash warnings and the oil pressure light to activate. Despite the wiring and sensor plug appearing intact, the issue may stem from a corroded connector or a problem with the engine block ground strap. Suggested solutions include checking the sensor connection for internal corrosion and ensuring the engine is properly grounded, possibly requiring professional inspection.

Good call on the corroded connector! I'll check it with my multimeter. When you say 'grounded', do you mean the engine block ground strap? Where's that located on our Accent?

Yes, the engine block ground strap. I didn't fix it myself; the workshop did. It cost 95€, so a professional check might be worth it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll double-check the ground strap and connector with a multimeter. Looks like I'm taking it to the shop. Thanks for the help!

I had similar issues with my Accent: flashing lights and all. Check the sensor connection itself; it might look fine, but the connectors corrode internally. Is the engine properly grounded?
