Accord EGR Valve Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Honda Accord diesel is experiencing reduced engine power, increased fuel consumption, rough idling, and occasional jerking, with a check engine light and smoke during acceleration. These symptoms suggest a potential issue with the EGR valve. A similar case confirmed the EGR valve as the culprit, and replacing it resolved the issues, restoring smooth engine performance.

I haven't specifically checked for vacuum leaks yet, but I will do that. If I don't find any leaks, does that point definitively to the EGR valve? Was that the final culprit in your case?

In my case, yes, it was the EGR valve. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to be sure.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicions. The workshop diagnosed a defective EGR valve, and the repair cost came to 355€. Car is running smooth again.

Sounds familiar. I had a comparable problem in my Accord. All the same symptoms. Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
