Accord Hybrid No GPS Reception
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid is experiencing a persistent issue with the navigation system showing zero GPS reception and logging an antenna error. The problem is suspected to be a defective GPS antenna, as connections have been checked and no aftermarket electronics are present. The suggested solution is to visit a qualified workshop for diagnosis and repair, as home remedies seem insufficient.

No aftermarket electronics. I checked the connections, and everything seems secure. Were you also seeing the 'no GPS reception' message constantly? Anything specific that triggered the issue?

Yes, the 'no GPS reception' message was constant. Initially intermittent, but then permanent. No specific trigger that I could identify. Considering you've checked the connections and have no aftermarket stuff, it sounds like the antenna itself has gone bad. At this point, a qualified workshop to get it diagnosed and repaired is your best bet. Expect around 200€ for the repair.

That's what I was afraid of! Based on your experience and the error code, a workshop visit seems the only sensible course of action. I'll book it in and report back once it's resolved. Appreciate the help!

I have the same Accord model and experienced the same issue. First, check if the antenna wire is properly connected to the head unit, though I'm guessing you've already done that. Given the error code, the antenna itself is more likely. Are there aftermarket electronics installed that might be interfering with the GPS signal?
