Accord Keyless Entry Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid experienced a fault with the keyless entry system, specifically the automatic unlocking when pulling the door handle. The remote still functioned correctly, suggesting a problem with the door handle electronics. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a finicky sensor in the door, which detects the hand. The problem was ultimately traced to a defective connector, which was repaired, resolving the issue.

Yes, exactly, the automatic unlocking when pulling the handle. The remote still functions as expected. Could you elaborate on the sensor? Was it difficult to diagnose?

Right, so remote works, but handle doesn't, sounds identical. The sensor itself isn't too complex, it's basically a capacitive sensor that detects your hand. Honestly, I didn't diagnose it myself. Took it straight to a workshop, as I didn't want to mess with the door electronics and risk messing something else up. Best to get it checked out properly, could save you time and potential headaches.

Thanks for confirming. I appreciate the insight. I've had it checked, and it was indeed a defective connector. Repair cost was 95€. All sorted now.

I've got an Accord, though not the hybrid version. I had a similar keyless entry problem. By 'keyless access' I assume you mean when you pull the handle and the door unlocks automatically? Does the remote still work? I had that happen with mine, and it turned out to be a finicky sensor in the door.
