Adam Bypass Valve Overheating

I own a 2018 Vauxhall Adam with a gasoline engine. Mileage is at 193011 km. I am experiencing a bypass valve malfunction, indicated by an error stored in the error memory and engine overheating. I suspect it might be a consequential error.

Overheating and a bypass valve error? That's not a good combo! Have you checked for any obvious air intake leaks or vacuum system issues? Sometimes a small leak can throw everything off and cause cascading problems.

Could a faulty air intake or vacuum system really cause the bypass valve to trigger an error and lead to overheating? I thought they were somewhat independent.

It's less about direct causation and more about the ECU getting confused by the incorrect readings. The bypass valve error might be a symptom, not the root cause. Still, I'd recommend a workshop visit.

You were right. Took it to the workshop; the bypass valve error was indeed a consequential error, originating from a separate issue. Repair cost was 0€. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
