Adam Cold Start Problem

Thanks for the tip. I haven't tried any injector cleaner yet. Could a clogged injector really cause such poor engine running specifically during cold starts? I was under the impression the engine control unit (ECU) enriches the mixture during cold starts, so wouldn't that compensate for a partially blocked injector?

Well, in my case with the Renault, the cleaner didn't fully fix it. It improved things a bit, but the problem kept coming back. Eventually, I had to take it to a workshop. They ran some tests and confirmed it was a dodgy injector. Best to get it checked out properly!

Okay, thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. I'll post when I know more. It was indeed the injector. Repair cost was 515€

Hey, that sounds familiar! I had similar cold start problems with my old Renault a few years back. The engine would misfire like crazy when it was cold. Have you tried any injector cleaner in the fuel? It might help if the injectors are just a bit clogged. It's worth a shot before diving into more expensive repairs.
