Adam headlight range control issue
Summary of the thread
The main issue discussed is a headlight range control problem in a 2017 Vauxhall Adam, indicated by a warning light and misaligned main beam. The suspected cause is a faulty servomotor, although checking and cleaning electrical connectors and inspecting wiring for damage are suggested initial steps. Ultimately, the servomotor was confirmed as the problem, and professional repair was recommended to ensure proper headlight alignment and safety.

The fault code does point towards the headlight range control. Were your low beams all over the place too? Did cleaning the connectors actually fix it for you?

Confirmed on both counts. The beam adjustment was completely out. Cleaning the connectors didn't fully resolve it for me. While it might offer a temporary improvement, you may still need to consider that defective servomotor. I'd suggest getting it looked at by a workshop if the problem persists, as incorrect headlight alignment poses a safety risk.

I suspected the servomotor. Took it to the workshop, and they've confirmed it. Repair, including parts and labor, is looking like it'll be about 1040€. Ouch, but at least it'll be sorted.

I had similar issues on my Adam. Does the fault code point to the headlight range control? First, check the electrical connectors to the headlight units themselves and clean them. Also, have you checked the wiring for any damage?
