Adam Heating Fault Solar Sensor

Hi, I've got a 2014 Vauxhall Adam with a gasoline engine, and I'm experiencing some issues with the heating. The error memory shows a solar sensor fault and the heating output is too low. Has anyone else had this? Any ideas on what could be causing it?

I had a similar problem with my Vauxhall Adam. Do you have any experience with sensor calibration? It sounds like a defective cable or plug connection. Has your heating output been consistently low or intermittent?

Thanks for the quick response! I'm not familiar with sensor calibration, to be honest. How did you determine that it was a defective connection? Was it difficult to access and check the sensor's cable or plug?

In my case the garage diagnosed it. I wouldn't recommend trying it yourself if you don't have experience with automotive sensors. If the error memory shows a solar sensor fault, and the heating is too low, it very likely is the solar sensor. I suggest that you take your car to a workshop. They will have the required equipment to test and calibrate it. It will cost around 95€.

Thanks for your help! I took it to a workshop as you suggested and they confirmed a defective cable. They were able to repair it and calibrate the sensor. Now my heating is working perfectly. I appreciate your advice!
