A 2018 Vauxhall Adam owner experienced issues with the outside temperature sensor, leading to air conditioning failure, frozen spray nozzles, and non-functional mirror heating. The problem was initially suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection. However, after diagnostics indicated a faulty sensor, it was replaced, resolving all related issues.

Sensor diagnostics were performed and returned an error. The symptoms appeared simultaneously. The error code indicates a faulty temperature sensor. Should I consider replacing the sensor instead of the plug?

Given the error code points directly to the sensor and the symptoms appeared at once, it would be prudent to consult a workshop for a professional opinion. It’s likely the sensor itself, but verifying the wiring integrity before replacement would save unnecessary expense. The repair will be around 95€. Is it worth it to you?

Thank you for the advice. I followed your recommendation and took the Adam to a workshop. They confirmed the sensor was defective and replaced it. All systems are now functioning correctly.

I had a similar issue with my Adam. Were any sensor calibration or diagnostic checks performed prior to considering a cable or plug issue? Did you experience these symptoms concurrently, or did they appear gradually?
