Adam passenger electric seat failure

Hi, I have a 2014 Vauxhall Adam with a gasoline engine. The passenger electric seat has stopped working. The error memory has an error stored, and the seat adjustment is not possible. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. Any ideas?

Hey, I had something similar happen in my Adam. It was a real pain. Does the driver's side seat work okay? If so, it might not be the battery. Did you check the wiring under the seat? Sometimes the connectors come loose or get damaged.

Thanks for the tip! Yes, the driver's side is working perfectly. I had a quick look at the wiring, but couldn't see anything obvious. What exactly should I be looking for?

Okay, if the driver's side is fine, then it's probably not a general power issue. When mine went, I fiddled with the wiring for ages and got nowhere. Eventually, I took it to a workshop. They said it was likely due to the battery being heavily discharged or defective (though you mention the driver's side is working). However, since you already checked the fuses and wiring, you might want to consider taking it in. I think the repair cost me around 290€.

Thanks for the info. I took it to a local garage as you suggested. Turns out it was a dodgy connection and low battery as they suggested. All sorted now, cost 290€!
