Adam Radar Sensor Issue

Thanks for the reply! I had a quick look and the sensor was pretty dirty. Gave it a clean, but no luck. Still getting the same errors. Could it be a calibration issue after cleaning, or is it more likely something else?

Given that you have already addressed the potential issue of a dirty sensor without resolving the problem, it is plausible that the system may require recalibration, especially if the sensor's alignment was disturbed during cleaning. However, it is equally conceivable that the sensor itself has suffered an internal failure, or that there is an underlying issue within the vehicle's electronic control unit. At this juncture, I would recommend seeking professional diagnostic assistance from a qualified automotive technician. Their expertise and specialized equipment will enable them to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the system, thereby facilitating an accurate diagnosis and appropriate course of action.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! Took it to a local garage, and you were spot on. Turns out the sensor was just super dirty, like you said initially, even though I thought I'd cleaned it properly. They gave it a proper clean and recalibrated it. Cost me 45€, but everything's working perfectly now!

A malfunctioning radar sensor can cascade into various system failures due to the interconnected nature of modern automotive electronics. Given the symptoms you describe—error messages, stored error codes, system failures, and warning lights—a thorough diagnostic process is warranted. Have you attempted any preliminary inspections, such as checking the sensor's physical condition and wiring harness for any signs of damage or corrosion? Furthermore, have you considered the possibility of environmental factors, such as accumulated dirt or debris obstructing the sensor's field of view?
