Hey there! Really relieved to read your response - was worried this might be a bigger deal. My Bongo's been acting up almost the exact same way your Axela did. So, I’m thinking it’s likely I’m dealing with a similar wire situation here. Just curious, could you recall around how many bucks it cost you to get this fixed? Also, after they treated the dodgy wire, did any other surprise issues pop up? Apologies for the barrage of questions, just trying to prepare myself for what's coming, you know? Appreciate the help! Cheers.
Hey again, No worries about the questions! We're all here to help one another out. So, onto your bulb problem. I breathe a sigh of relief every time I see that "Bulb defective" warning back off. Got it sorted at the mechanic's. The issue was indeed the dodgy cable connection, just as I suspected. Getting straight to your questions - It didn't hit my wallet as hard as I initially feared. The total spend to sort out that pesky connection came out to around 180.00 €. So, quite manageable on that front. And to your second question, no other surprising gremlins popped up post the fix. The repair was bang-on and only targeted the faulty wire. My Axela hasn't given me the light trouble since. Hope that eases your worry a tad! All the best with your Bongo!
Heya, Thanks so much for circling back with those answers, really appreciate the deets! I'm definitely feeling a bit less anxious now. That price seems pretty fair - won't get my wallet screaming, which is fantastic. Thrilled to know the pesky light hasn’t bothered you again. Hoping I can say the same about my Bongo once it gets sorted out! Your help's been brilliant. I'll pass your advice onto my mechanic and fingers crossed, it will set things straight. Once again, cheers for easing my worries! All the best to you too.
Hey! I feel ya. Had the same bother with my 2014 Mazda Axela not too long ago. Bulb out warning wouldn't budge. It turned out to be a dodgy cable connection to the lamp, not the bulb itself. Symptoms matched yours to the tee. My local guy spent some time looking for a bulb fault, then moved onto checking the entire circuit. Found a wire that had partially dislocated from its slot in the lamp's holder. The incorrectly seated wire was messing up the circuit, throwing up the bulb failure warning. Don't fret too hard though. It wasn't any mega serious. More annoying than anything. Needed just a clean connection and proper re-seating of the cable into the lamp holder. Hit up your mechanic about this possibility. At least you won't be left flipping through your car's manual in the garage's waiting room for too long. Hang in there! It's not too huge a fix. All the best!
