Air conditioning in Peugeot 307 only blows warm air: looking for solutions and experiences
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The air conditioning in a 2004 Peugeot 307 is only blowing warm air, suspected to be due to a problem with the air conditioning control valve. A similar issue in a Peugeot 207 was caused by a leaking condenser, which prevented refrigerant from staying in the system. The recommended solution is to have the system checked at a garage using a leak detection system to identify and repair the issue, ensuring the cooling system is refilled properly.

Thanks for the quick reply, I also think it would be best to have the whole thing checked in the workshop. Do you remember the approximate cost of the repair? And have you had any similar problems since then or was everything okay afterwards? Thanks in advance and best regards!

Of course I remember the costs. I paid €495 to have the leaking air conditioning system repaired. But since then everything has been fine, no more problems, especially because the defective air conditioning control valve was repaired after the visit to the workshop. So, you could say it was worth it after all. Stay cool and see you then!

Thank you very much for the information! It's a bit expensive, but if it works, it will probably be worth the money. So I'll go to the garage tomorrow and have everything checked. Your advice was very helpful, thank you! Have a relaxing evening and keep a cool head in this heat! Bye and see you then!

Hi, I experienced the same thing with my '07 Peugeot 207. It does indeed sound like a leaking problem in the air conditioning system, quite annoying at these temperatures, right? In my case, it was the condenser that was leaking. Basically, the refrigerant just couldn't stay in the system. Had it checked at the garage; the guys have a leak detection system for it now and were able to find the spot quickly. Had it repaired and the cooling system refilled. I would recommend you take your car to the garage too, if you haven't already. Unfortunately, this is no small matter and should not be taken lightly. Make sure they also use the leak detection system, this will ensure they fix the problem properly. Sorry I don't have better news for you at this time, but I hope it was helpful. All the best, colleague!
