Hey, thanks for your reply, really helpful! I was just wondering how much this fun in the workshop cost you? And have you noticed any problems since then? Always these surprises with the cars, eh?

Hey, no problem, that's what a forum like this is for! The fun wasn't exactly cheap, I can tell you. I paid a whopping €955 to fix the sporadic communication error. It was a bit of a pain, but what won't you do for your beloved car, right? And yes, the air conditioning compressor switching off was also an issue for me at one point. But since my last visit to the garage, the air conditioning has been running like Swiss clockwork again, no more hot air. I can honestly say that I haven't had any more problems since the repair, it feels like new. I tell you, being on the road in such a functioning car is a really different feeling. But as you say, there are always these surprises with the cars... You always have to expect something like that. The important thing is to have a reliable garage. So, dig in and good luck, buddy!

Wow, that was some expensive fun! But if the repair helps permanently, then it's probably worth the price. Good advice on the reliable workshop too. I'll make an appointment tomorrow with a garage that a friend recommended to me. I wish I had your air conditioning to make my car as cool as yours! Thanks for your help, buddy!

Hey buddy, I had a similar problem with my 2018 Renault Megane. There was sporadic faulty communication between the ECUs, which disrupted the system and paralyzed it. I'm not an expert either, but my last garage fixed it professionally. As I understood it, the control unit had to be reset and reprogrammed. They also ran some tests to make sure all systems were in order and also checked the wiring to rule out that it was causing the problem. They explained that although it is serious, if it is dealt with properly there is nothing to worry about. So no need to panic, but you should still get it checked at the garage soon! All the best!
