Air conditioning problem on a Dacia Sandero

I own a 2011 Dacia Sandero with a gasoline engine and 133,000 km on the odometer. I have a problem with the air conditioning system. The air conditioning only turns on when the fan is on level 1. When switching to higher fan speeds, the AC turns off, even though the refrigerant is topped up. Does anyone have experience with a similar problem or know what could be the cause?

Summary of the thread

A 2011 Dacia Sandero owner is experiencing an issue where the air conditioning only functions when the fan is set to level 1, despite having sufficient refrigerant. A suggested cause is a faulty blower motor resistor, which controls fan speeds and may be malfunctioning, affecting the AC operation. Checking and potentially replacing this component could resolve the issue.

Check the blower motor resistor, as it may be faulty and causing the fan to only work on the lowest setting. This component controls the fan speeds, and if it's malfunctioning, it could affect the AC operation. Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you have any further questions.
